01Who This Policy Covers
This Privacy Policy explains how Ryker Financial, LLC (“Ryker Financial,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) collects, uses, discloses, and protects personal information. It applies to https://rykerfinancial.com, to the forms on this site, and to the phone, text, and email conversations that follow from them.
Ryker Financial is an independent insurance agency licensed in all 50 states. We are not an insurance carrier. When you apply for coverage, the carrier you apply to is a separate company with its own privacy notice governing what it does with your information. Nothing in this policy changes your rights under a carrier's notice, and nothing in a carrier's notice changes your rights under this one.
Because we sell insurance, we are also a “financial institution” under the federal Gramm-Leach-Bliley Act (GLBA). Section 8 sets out the GLBA notice that applies to the nonpublic personal information we collect from you.
02Information We Collect
We collect the following categories of personal information:
Information You Give Us Directly
- Identifiers — name, email address, telephone number, and, when you apply for coverage, mailing address and date of birth.
- Insurance and health-related information — coverage type of interest, coverage amount, tobacco use, height and weight, medical history, prescriptions, and similar underwriting information you choose to share when you apply.
- Financial information — income range, existing coverage, beneficiary details, and payment information collected by a carrier at the point of application.
- Employment information — if you apply to join our agency: work history, licensing status, and anything else you include in your application or resume.
- Communications — the content of emails, text messages, and, where permitted by law and disclosed to you at the time, recorded phone calls.
Information Collected Automatically
- Technical data — IP address, browser type, device type, referring page, and pages viewed, collected through standard server logs.
- Submission metadata — the date and time you submitted a form and the consent you gave at that moment, which we retain as a record of your authorization to contact you.
Sensitive Personal Information
Health information you provide in connection with a life insurance application is sensitive personal information under several state privacy laws. We use it only to obtain quotes, submit applications, and service policies — never to infer characteristics about you for advertising.
We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18. If you believe a minor has provided us information, tell us through our privacy request form and we will delete it.
03How We Use Your Information
We use personal information to:
- Respond to your quote request and contact you about coverage, by phone, text, or email;
- Shop your profile to insurance carriers and present you with options;
- Prepare, submit, and service insurance applications and policies;
- Evaluate and communicate with you about agent career opportunities at Ryker Financial;
- Comply with insurance, anti-fraud, anti-money-laundering, and recordkeeping laws;
- Maintain the security and integrity of our site and detect fraudulent submissions;
- Improve our services and understand which pages and offerings are useful.
We do not use your information for automated decision-making that produces legal effects about you. Carriers make underwriting decisions; we do not.
05Calls, Texts, and Your Consent
When you submit a form on this site and check the consent box, you provide prior express written consent for Ryker Financial and the licensed agents working with us to contact you at the telephone number you provided — including by automatic telephone dialing system, artificial or prerecorded voice, and SMS text message — about insurance products and, where applicable, career opportunities.
- Consent is not a condition of purchasing any goods or services.
- Message and data rates may apply. Message frequency varies.
- You may revoke consent at any time: reply STOP to any text message, tell the caller to place you on our internal Do Not Call list, or submit a Do Not Call request.
- Reply HELP to a text message for help, or reach us through our contact form.
We maintain an internal Do Not Call list and honor requests promptly. We retain a record of the consent you gave, including the date, time, and the exact language shown to you, for as long as required to demonstrate compliance.
Revoking consent to marketing calls does not stop transactional messages about a policy or application already in progress.
07How Long We Keep Information
We keep personal information only as long as needed for the purpose it was collected, plus any period required by law:
- Quote inquiries that do not become policies — up to 3 years from last contact, so we can respond if you return.
- Policy and application records — for the life of the policy plus the period required by state insurance recordkeeping rules, typically 5 to 7 years after termination.
- Consent and Do Not Call records — at least 5 years, to demonstrate compliance with telemarketing law.
- Agent applications — up to 3 years, or longer where employment law requires.
When a retention period ends, we delete the information or de-identify it so it can no longer be linked to you.
08GLBA Privacy Notice
As an insurance agency, we are required by the Gramm-Leach-Bliley Act to tell you what we do with your nonpublic personal information.

09California Privacy Rights
If you are a California resident, the California Consumer Privacy Act, as amended by the California Privacy Rights Act, gives you the rights below. Note that personal information we collect and use subject to the GLBA is exempt from most CCPA obligations; the rights below apply to the information that is not covered by that exemption.
- Right to know — the categories and specific pieces of personal information we collected, the sources, our purposes, and the categories of third parties we disclosed it to.
- Right to delete — subject to exceptions, including our legal obligation to retain insurance and consent records.
- Right to correct — inaccurate personal information we maintain about you.
- Right to opt out of sale or sharing — see Do Not Sell or Share My Personal Information.
- Right to limit use of sensitive personal information — we already limit our use of sensitive information to providing the services you requested.
- Right to non-discrimination — we will not deny you service, charge you a different price, or provide a lesser quality of service because you exercised a privacy right.
How to Exercise Your Rights
Submit our privacy request form. We will verify your identity by matching the information in your request against what we already hold — typically your name, phone number, and email address. We respond within 45 days and may extend once by another 45 days with notice to you.
You may use an authorized agent to submit a request on your behalf. We will ask for written proof of their authority and may ask you to verify your own identity directly.
Shine the Light
California Civil Code Section 1798.83 permits California residents to request information about disclosures to third parties for their direct marketing purposes. Send requests to the address in Section 12.
10Other State Privacy Rights
Residents of states including Colorado, Connecticut, Delaware, Florida, Indiana, Iowa, Kentucky, Maryland, Minnesota, Montana, Nebraska, New Hampshire, New Jersey, Oregon, Rhode Island, Tennessee, Texas, Utah, Virginia, and others with comprehensive privacy laws have rights to access, correct, delete, and obtain a portable copy of their personal information, and to opt out of targeted advertising, sale, and certain profiling.
We extend these rights to every resident of every state, regardless of whether the law in your state requires it. Use the contact details in Section 12.
Appeals. If we decline your request, you may appeal by replying to our decision with the word “Appeal.” We will respond within 45 days with a written explanation. If we deny the appeal, you may contact your state attorney general.
Nevada. Nevada residents may direct us not to sell certain personal information through the same form.
11How We Protect Information
We maintain administrative, technical, and physical safeguards designed to protect personal information, including encrypted transmission of form submissions, access controls limiting information to personnel who need it, and vendor agreements requiring confidentiality.
No method of transmission or storage is perfectly secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security. Please do not send sensitive health or financial details through a website form. Share them with your agent directly, or use the secure application a carrier provides.
If a breach affects your personal information, we will notify you and the applicable regulators as required by law.
12Contact Us and Policy Changes

Ryker Financial does not publish a telephone number or email address. Every request reaches us through this site, which lets us log it, time-stamp it, and track it against the response deadlines the law sets.
